Virtual Red Kettle 2022
Since 1889, The Salvation Army Austin Area Command has provided services to meet basic needs of homeless and low-income populations in Central Texas.
As the largest nonprofit provider of shelter and support services in Central Texas, we implement a comprehensive approach to homelessness providing a safe place to sleep, daily meals, housing-focused case management, rental and utility assistance, therapy, childcare, and more on-site services.
More than 1,300 individuals were sheltered and 82% of case-managed households who exited shelter moved from homelessness to housing last year.
Other local programs include The Salvation Army Williamson County Service Center (preventing homelessness in Williamson County), Angel Tree Christmas Assistance Program, Emergency Disaster Services, and Adult Rehabilitation funded by three Family Stores.
